Giving Tuesday is an international day that promotes global generosity and charity. It’s celebrated every Tuesday after Thanksgiving since 2012, as part of a joint initiative by the United Nations Foundation and philanthropist Henry Timms of New York City. The foundation and day celebrates the idea of radical generosity:
The concept that the suffering of others should be as intolerable to us as our own suffering.
The Flâneur Collective was founded on the idea of supporting social causes and raising awareness to global issues. To honor the holiday, we have decided to support three non-profits this Giving Tuesday in the cities of Atlanta, New York, and San Juan.
Here is a list of the non-profits along with their donation amount:
Centro de Periodismo Investigativo (Center for Investigative Journalism): $150
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta: $100
The New York Public Library: $100
